Windows® Upgrades

Windows-7-upgradesAre you ready to upgrade to the Microsoft® Windows 7 operating system? If so, Meade Computing can take care of that for you. Many people have moved from Windows Vista to Windows 7. We also have clients who have moved from Windows Vista back to Windows XP if their computer is older and not capable of running Windows 7. They are much more satisfied with their computer running either Windows 7 or Windows XP.

Installing a new operating system requires that we back up all your data onto another device, delete your old operating system, install the new operating system, reinstall all your software, and restore all your data. Most people are not comfortable tackling it themselves and do not want to take the risk of losing valuable data.

Microsoft® Windows 7 also has a different look and feel to it along with new functionality. You may find that you're not sure how to perform your regular tasks. We also provide TRAINING so that you are comfortable with your new operating system.

The cost for a Windows 7 upgrade is $325 which includes the cost of a Windows 7 Home Premium license ($125) as well as home or business delivery including all peripheral setup (such as printers). If you have already purchased a Windows 7 license, the cost for our installation, backup and setup is $200.

The cost for a Windows XP downgrade is $250 which includes the license cost of $50. The Windows XP downgrade also includes backup of your data onto another device, deletion of the old operating system, installation of the new operating system, reinstallation of all your software, restoration of all your data, and peripheral setup.
